The Beaney House of Art and Knowledge
Inspired by a recent lecture by Alf Fisher on some of the quirky stained glass pieces he has come across hidden away in corners or high up in churches it reminded me of some amazing fragments of 16th and 17th century Dutch stained glass leaded into panels and displayed at The Beaney House. The Beany House, in Canterbury, Kent was built in 1899 and recently underwent a £14 million restoration. While the Cathedral is the obvious magnet, this well run museum is brilliant and well worth a visit. Here are some close up's...
